Last Friday evening,
I worked in the music school...
not as a Course Administrator @ the front counter...
but as a photographer for the school's performance event! :D
Great experience!!!
It's not easy because our stage is very small...like 3m x 2m?
And there's the spotlights on the ceiling
and ugly backdoor next to the stage to avoid.
Also...u have to observe the interaction
between the hosts and audience...
capture their expressions, the mood/ambience...
within the limited space...
And at the same time,
trying hard not to block too much of the audience's view
(even though I'm short, haha!)
Oh yah...must also be not Pai Seh
to walk around and shoot from all angles!!
(pointing ur camera at the crowd facing
the stage can feel pretty weird/intimidating.)
Got to thank my colleague for recommending me to the boss
(that day there's a shortage of staff to help out,
so my colleague told the boss..
"How about let Pei Pei try?
She likes to take photos!!!")
Also got to thank Shu Rong for lending me her DSLR ;)
Oh yah, the pay for being the photographer
of the 2-3hrs event is also higher
than working normal counter duties!
Got free concert somemore!!! :D
(even though still cheap labour...
but then i can't call myself a professional yet..
shooting in non-manual modes? Hahaha :p)
It's a great learning experience!
